— The tradition of a Homecoming football game returns to Willamette University this fall when the Bearcats open the season against Trinity University on Saturday, Sept. 13.

The teams will battle at McCulloch Stadium, with kickoff set for 1:30 p.m. Homecoming is part of this year's Alumni Weekend.

Prior to the game a barbecue "tailgate" luncheon will be held at the stadium, starting at noon and catered by Bon Appetit. The barbecue will be for alumni, parents and Bearcat Club season ticket members.

Lunch costs $15 for adults, $8 for children. Tickets to the game are included with the Alumni Weekend Access Pass registration fee of $5. The pass also provides access to other events and local business discounts during the weekend.

Go to www.willamette.edu/go/alumniweekend for complete details and to register online. The online registration for Alumni Weekend will be open through Sept. 5, or you can call (503) 375-5304.

The Bearcats finished the 2013 season with a 7-2 overall record and were ranked #25 in the final regular season NCAA Division III Poll released by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA). Willamette, which averaged 41.1 points and 471.9 total yards per game last year, has achieved a 15-4 record over the past two seasons.
