Colorado College Rips George Fox, 5-1

With the loss, the Bruins fall to 1-1 on the season.

— The George Fox University's men's soccer team traveled to Colorado College Friday afternoon, as the Bruins fell to the Tigers, 5-1.

It was a tough day on the field for the Bruins, as they allowed 26 shots with 18 of them on goal. The Tigers didn't wait long to get on the board after Andrew Worthington found the back of the net in the 4th minute. Stuart Beezley and Hunter Martinez both tacked on a goal in the 31st and 37th minute to take a 3-0 lead going into the half.

The Bruins got on the board in the 81st minute after Sean Owens knocked in a header of an Arturo Olazaba corner kick.

The Tigers had five different players record a goal on the day.

GFU's Murray Noble took to the net for the Bruins and recorded 11 saves in the game.

With the loss, the Bruins fall to 1-1 on the season.

The Bruins won't have a lot of rest before their next game when they take on Kean University on Sept. 7 at 9:30 a.m.
