— The Western Oregon University football team opens its home schedule against Central Washington University Saturday.

Opening Drive:

* Saturday will be the first of two meetings between CWU and Western Oregon. This matchup is a non-conference game, while the Oct. 18 game in Ellensburg is a GNAC counter.

* Western Oregon and the Wildcats meet for the 56th time Saturday.

* Central Washington has won 34 of the all-time meetings, and are 14-12 in the series at WOU.

* The Wildcats have won 18 of the last 20 matchups, but it was Western Oregon that was victorious in the latest meeting in 2013.

* Western Oregon has only won twice under Arne Ferguson against CWU, a record of 2-8.

* Central Washington won 14 straight matchups from 2002 to 2011.

* The Wolves are one of 26 teams to not throw an interception yet this season out of the 170 total NCAA Div. II programs.

* Paul Revis is 11th in the country with three touchdown receptions, and 14th with 205 all-purpose yards per contest. Both stats lead the conference.

* The Wolves' six forced turnovers is 19th in the nation and first in the GNAC.

* Arne Ferguson is coaching his 100th career game Saturday.
