Huge Number of Razor Clams Await North Oregon Coast Clammers
(October 1, 2014, 9:18 am) ASTORIA, Ore. From July 15 to Sept. 30 ODFW staff collected information about the distribution, abundance, and sizes of razor clams.

The Clatsop beaches will re-open to razor clamming Oct. 1 following the annual conservation closure.

Health Advisory Issued for Toxic Algae in Cullaby Lake in Clatsop County
(September 22, 2014, 5:30 pm) ASTORIA, Ore. Water monitoring has confirmed the presence of high levels of cyanotoxins produced by blue-green algae. These dangerous toxin concentrations in the water can be harmful to humans and animals.

The Oregon Health Authority issued a health advisory on Monday due to high levels of blue-green algae in Cullaby Lake, located just off Highway 101 between Astoria and Seaside in Clatsop County.
