(September 26, 2014, 6:06 pm) SALEM, Ore. Marion County Sheriff's Office drop site will be in the parking lot of Roths I.G.A - Salem Police will have a drop site at Peace Plaza which is located at 555 Liberty St SE

Tomorrow The Marion County Sheriff's Office in cooperation with the Drug Administration Agency and several local Police agencies will have drop sites to turn in prescription Drugs. The Marion County Sheriff's Office drop site will be in the parking lot of Roths I.G.A. which is located at 702 Lancaster Dr NE in Salem.

Salem Police will have a drop site at Peace Plaza which is located at 555 Liberty St SE in Salem. All drop sites will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

(September 17, 2014, 12:03 pm) SALEM, Ore. 163 fallen career and volunteer firefighters will be honored, and the five additional names will be added bringing the total number of structural, wildland, and airport firefighters who have died in the line of duty to 168.

During a ceremony on Thursday in Salem, the names of five firefighters who gave their lives to protect Oregonians from various fires around the state will be added to the Oregon Fallen Firefighters Memorial.

On a picture-perfect evening in Lake Oswego, at the private island estate of Rick and Erika Miller, members of legendary rock band KISS played an all-acoustic set for a small group of guests; making memories to last a lifetime and raising over $1.15 million dollars for the Brigadier General James B. Thayer Oregon Military Museum.

Marion County Fire District Holding Open House Tonight

Willamette Humane Society to Offer Fall Dog Trainer Series
(September 15, 2014, 4:00 am) SALEM, Ore. The series will prepare students and community members to become capable, knowledgeable professional dog training instructors.

The Willamette Humane Society in Salem has announced its partnership with Chemeketa Community College, and instructor, Catherine Steinke, CPDT-KA, to host a series of community education courses this fall.
