(October 13, 2014, 10:38 am) GATES, Ore Highway 22 was partially blocked Monday morning for a couple hours after several vehicles struck a downed tree on Highway 22 between Gates and Detroit in Marion County. No vehicle occupants required transport to a hospital and two of the damaged vehicles were towed from the scene.
(September 9, 2014, 5:00 pm) SALEM, Ore. The closure of the rest area will start at 7:00 a.m. and re-open during the evening on Friday, September 19.
The Maples Rest Area located just east of Gates on Oregon Highway 22 will be closed starting on Wednesday through September 19 in order for the region Department of Transportation to complete maintenance projects.
(September 8, 2014, 5:09 pm) GATES, Ore. The investigation so far as found that 63-year-old Christopher Wallace of Mill City, was traveling east on Kingwood Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle near the intersection of Gates School Road.
Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies are continuing to investigate a fatal motor vehicle crash Saturday in the 50000 block of Kingwood Avenue near Gates, Oregon.
