— Yamhill County Public Health officials are warning people to stay out of the South Yamhill River, after three people got sick after swimming in the river earlier this month.

Health officials say the three people were tested, and the results confirmed all the illnesses were caused by the same strain of E. Coli bacteria.

State and County health officials have not yet found the source of the contamination, and so far no new reports have come in.

The public is being asked to stay out of the South Yamhill River near Green Bridge until bacteria levels return back to normal.
