Cooler air and threat of showers for Labor Day Weekend
(SALEM, Ore.) — The weather for the labor day weekend is expected to be cooler with showers possible. Dry weather should return next week with seasonal September temperatures.
Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 57 with wind North wind 5 to 9 mph.
An upper ridge responsible for the warm weather will weaken and shift eastward through Friday and allow for weaterly flow off the north pacific to bring in coolar air and the possiblility of showers for this weekend.
Friday will be mostly cloudy with a high near 78 with afternoon winds north northwest 5 to 8 mph.
Friday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 55 with Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers South Southwest wind around 6 mph. The high will be near 74 with a low around 54 Saturday night.
Skies will begin to clear on Sunday with a high near 76 partly sunny with a low of around 55 Sunday night.
Labor Day Monday will be mostly sunny with a high near 79.
Dry weather will begin next week with seasonable temperatures.
