Salem Man Arrested for Sex Abuse to a Minor
(DALLAS, Ore) — The Polk County Sheriff's Office tells us that they arrested 58 year old Hugh Reeves of West Salem on two counts of Sexual Abuse 1 against a non relative minor female.
Reeves was lodged at the Polk County Jail on $150,000 bail.
During the investigation deputies learned that Reeves also had two prior sodomy convictions approximately 11 years ago from Marion County.
The investigation began on July 31st, 2015, when the minor reported allegations of abuse to an adult stemming from an incident on July 30th, 2015 at Reeves' home.
Deputies served a search warrant on Reeves' residence on the evening of August 11th, which is located in the 2500 block of Lincoln Rd NW, in Salem.
During the search numerous items of interest were seized, which included a wide array of electronics, including 5 desktop computers, 1 laptop, 4 external hard drives, 4 flash drives, 2 internal hard drives, 2 tablets, a camera, and a surveillance system with cameras inside and outside of the house.
It is possible that there are other victims in this case that have yet to come forward or who may have further information that could help this case.
