(SALEM, Ore.) — This morning, at approximately 3:00 AM the Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near milepost 243 southbound in Marion County.
The preliminary investigation has determined that a 1995 Ford Explorer was southbound on Interstate 5 and for an unknown reason lost control and overturned in the median. The operator was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene. Traffic was slowed to one lane for approximately 3 hours. The identification of the operator will not be released at this time pending the next of kin notification.
The Oregon State Police was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff's office, Jefferson Fire District and the Oregon Department of Transportation.

The operator and only occupant in the vehicle was 27 year old Ricardo Lemus, from Albany.
