— A young lady was learning to drive in the North High School parking lot today when she stepped on the gas instead of the brake, broke through a chain link fence and landed on the railroad tracks.

A Union Pacific track maintenance crew was traveling about 35 mph on their way to another lactation for the nights work detail, when the driver shot onto the tracks in front of them.

Lucky for her the operator of the first railroad vehicle was on his toes and able to get stopped in time.

No one was hurt, and the work crew, and other rail traffic, was delayed for around an hour.

No roadways in the area were effected.
