MCFD#1 Saves Homes From Wild Fire

(SALEM, Ore) — Today at 1:33 PM Marion County Fire District #1 got the call that a lawnmower had started a field on fire.

This Fire quickly spread to four alarms and before it was stopped by quick thinking fire fighters almost got into some homes.

Battalion Chief Patrick Wineman tells us that we are facing a "perfect storm" of fire conditions in the coming days.

He asked the public to remember that "the smallest spark can turn into a the biggest fire."
