(MCMINNVILLE, Ore) — Over the weekend McMinnville Police made several arrests and drug seizures.
These incidents are noteworthy because children were present in the same location as these drug activities.
One of these vehicle stops also involved several baggies of methamphetamine being tossed out of a vehicle in a residential neighborhood.
The potential that this could have harmed curious children is significant.
Thanks to the help of local residents, police have recovered the drugs and removed the hazard.
This is a good reminder for parents to warn children to be cautious of abandoned drugs (which can look like small baggies of sugar or candy) or drug paraphernalia (needles and other sharp objects).
