Forest Grove Woman Jailed for Attempted Murder

The dispute was between a mother and her adult son.

— On Friday evening, October 3rd at 10:35pm, officers responded to a domestic disturbance involving a weapon in the 1800 block of 26th Avenue.

While enroute to the scene, officers were advised that a shot had been fired.

Officers arrived on scene and learned that the dispute was between a mother and her adult son at his residence.

Officer learned that during the argument, the mother allegedly retrieved a .38 revolver and pointed it at her son.

The gun was fired during an ensuing struggle.

The mother, 55 y/o Cynthia Rose Hunt of Forest Grove was taken into custody and lodged at the Washington County Jail for attempted murder, unlawful use of a weapon, menacing and two counts of reckless endangering.

There were no serious injuries sustained in the incident.
