Marion County Sheriff's Office Looking for Hit and Run Vehicle

Deputies did not find the vehicle that struck Mr. Brennan at the scene or in the area

— Marion County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 6200 Block of Silverton Rd last night at approximately 11:56 P.M. Deputies initially received a call from a citizen driving on Silverton Road who reported a male subject walking in the roadway. While deputies were responding they received information there was a veh icle that crashed into a field in the same area.

Deputies arrived and found 33 year old Matthew Brennan of Silverton with non-life threatening injuries from being struck by a vehicle. Medical personnel responded and transported Mr. Brennan to Salem Memorial Hospital for treatment. No further information will be released on Mr Brennan's medical status in compliant with HIPPA regulations.

Deputies did not find the vehicle that struck Mr. Brennan at the scene or in the area. Based on the initial information obtained at the scene as well as statements from Mr. Brennan, deputies believe the involved vehicle is possibly a green colored, mid to late 90's Toyota SUV or pick-up with passenger side damage.

This investigation is on-going and deputies are asking anyone that may have seen the accident or knows anything about the accident to call Marion County Dispatch at 503-588-5032.
