During the early morning hours of October 8, 2014, Grant County Sheriff's Office and OSP responded to a report of shots fired in Seneca.
After law enforcement officers arrived in the area, they heard additional shots fired.
A suspect armed with an unknown firearm was seen fleeing in the darkness and is the subject of an extensive area search.
There are no known persons injured.
The suspect sought by law enforcement is described as a white male adult, tall, thin, bald with a heavy goatee beard.
OSP SWAT personnel and resources are arriving on scene to assist in the search.
Anyone seeing a person matching the suspect's description or wishing to report suspicious activity that may be associated with this search is asked to call Grant County 9-1-1.

Highway 395 is now open in both directions and all road closures are being lifted in the local area.
Law enforcement personnel will remain in the area, but officials believe there is no public safety threat at this time.
Police have identified the suspect as Shane Sanders, and is described as a white male adult, 5'11" and 170 pounds, bald with a heavy goatee beard.
Anyone with information regarding Sanders location is asked to call Grant County 9-1-1.
