— Police in Vancouver are asking for the public’s help in locating an armed robbery suspect that got away after ramming into a police vehicle, and escaped on foot.

Vancouver police say on Thursday around 10:20 p.m., officers responded to an armed robber call at the AM/PM located at 2714 NE 112th Ave.

When officers arrived they learned from the clerk that a male had entered the store, displayed a weapon, and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police were able to get a description of the vehicle the suspect was seen leaving in, and found out that the car had been reported stolen.

Officers were able to locate the vehicle and attempted to get the driver to pull over, when the suspect rammed into a police K-9 unit, and then crashed the car in the 12400 block of NE 28th Street, and escaped on foot.

Neither the officer or the K-9 were hurt in the incident, and officers and a SWAT team searched the area for the suspect but were not able to locate him.

The suspect has been identified as 41-year-old Thomas Keys.

If you see, or know the whereabouts of Thomas Keys, call 9-1-1.

Update at 7:30 a.m.:
