Thomas Paul Harrington was arrested by officers on Wednesday at the Corvallis Public Library, after driving from Vancouver to Corvallis to meet the female juvenile.
(CORVALLIS, Ore. ) — Corvallis Police have arrested a 59-year-old Vancouver, Washington man after he contacted an undercover online account of a Corvallis Police Detective posing as a female juvenile.
Thomas Paul Harrington was arrested by officers on Wednesday at the Corvallis Public Library, after driving from Vancouver to Corvallis to meet the female juvenile.
Investigators say Harrington first made contact on September 5, and he immediately initiated a sexual online conversation with the undercover detective, and began attempting to get who he thought was a juvenile female to meet him.
In addition to multiple sexual conversations, Harrington also sent multiple nude photos of what he reported to be himself, police said.
Harrington was charged with one count of Online Sexual Corruption of a Child in the First Degree and one count of Luring a Minor.
He was booked and lodged at the Benton County Jail.
Harrington's bail is currently set at $150,000.
