Police said the DUII was for impairment not related to alcohol.
(ALOHA, Ore.) — Former Oregon tight end Colt Lyerla was arrested on Saturday at 2:52 a.m. for the crime of DUII.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office says Lyerla was stopped by a patrol deputy for traffic violations. During the stop the deputy developed probable cause for DUII.
The DUII was for impairment not related to alcohol.
Lyerla was arrested and lodged at the Washington County Jail.
He was released at 8:37 a.m. with a court date of September 17, at 8:30 a.m.
Lyerla was arrested on cocaine-possession charges last October.
Lyerla told SBNation.com last week that he attended the University of Oregon because an unnamed booster promised his family a house, car in addition to other perks.
