Human Remains Found after Barn Fire Outside of Silverton
The Marion County Sheriff's Office and the Oregon State Fire Marshal's Office are working to determine the cause of the fire.
(SILVERTON, Ore. ) — On September 4 at approximately 1:00 a.m., detectives with the Marion County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Unit were called to a barn fire on Lori Lane NE near Silverton.
The Silverton Fire Department requested MCSO CIU detectives to respond after finding human remains inside of the barn.
The State Medical Examiner's Office is working on identifying the remains.
The Marion County Sheriff's Office and the Oregon State Fire Marshal's Office are working to determine the cause of the fire.
