Multi-Vehicle Crash Includes Tigard Police K9 Officer

The officer, and a driver of another vehicle involved in the accident were transported to area hospitals.

— Tigard Police were called to an injury multiple motor vehicle crash near the intersection of Scholls Ferry Road and 121 Street Tuesday afternoon.

Three vehicles were involved, and included a Tigard Police K9 officer in a marked Tigard Police unit.

The officer, and a driver of another vehicle involved in the accident were transported to area hospitals. The driver of the third vehicle was checked by emergency medical personnel at the scene.

The Tigard Police K9, Baxter was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The Beaverton Police Department was requested to assist and investigate the crash.

One of the drivers involved, 21-year-old Aaron Weight was cited for Failure to drive within lane, as well as Careless Driving. 

The Tigard Police Officer, Cameron Odam, was released from the hospital late Tuesday night.

Officer Odam would like to extend his thanks to the bystanders who quickly jumped into action and offered him assistance moments after the crash.

There is no word yet today on the condition of the other driver involved.
