Police Release Drawing of Suspect in Nicole Laube Homicide

A substantial cash award has been offered by a private citizen for the arrest, and conviction of the person responsible for Nicole Laube's death.

— Washington County Major Crimes Team Detectives have released a composite drawing of the man suspected of killing Nicole Laube on August 19.

The drawing was obtained from a witness that reportedly saw the man in the area at the time of the homicide.

It is unknown if Nicole Laube knew the man in the composite drawing.

The Washington County Search and Rescue team previously searched the wooded area along a creek bed that travels through the Commons at Timber Creek apartment complex.

That search recovered items of interest that are currently being analyzed to determine if they have any evidentiary value.

Detectives have been investigating every lead received from the public.

Several people have been interviewed and have provided information and evidence to detectives.

On August 19, at about 5:10 p.m., Washington County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the Commons at Timber Creek apartments in the community of Cedar Mill, concerning a seriously injured woman.

Sheriff's deputies were contacted by an apartment resident who reported that a female came to her and told her that she had been stabbed. Another resident called the sheriff's office for assistance.

Numerous sheriff's deputies responded and found 29-year-old Nicole Laube from Forest Grove, outside, unconscious and bleeding.

Sheriff's deputies began administering emergency lifesaving assistance for Laube.

Nicole Laube was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.

She was an employee of the apartment complex working unspecified duties at the time.

And intensive man hunt was conducted with K9s and over 20 law enforcement personnel from surrounding agencies.

The search was not successful in locating the suspect.

The Washington County Major Crimes Team Detectives responded to assist with the investigation.

The Washington County Forensic Science Unit also responded to assist in searching for evidence and process the scene.

The Washington County Medical Examiner was on scene and confirmed the death as homicidal violence.

Detectives are reaching out to citizens, if anyone recognizes the man in the composite drawing or has additional tips to please call the Sheriff's Office at 503-846-2500.
