Portland Fire Marshal Lifts City Burn Ban

Outdoor recreational fires, campfires and fires in approved fireplaces or chiminea type devices are again allowed.

— Due to the decrease of high temperatures and higher humidity levels, effective immediately, the Portland Fire Marshal has lifted the burn ban that was imposed on September 12.

Outdoor recreational fires, campfires and fires in approved fireplaces or chiminea type devices are again allowed within the city of Portland beginning Thursday.

This burning ban lift is based on weather conditions and community fire safety needs.
