Portland Mobile Home Fire Leaves Four Homeless

A Portland Fire District spokesman says firefighters responded to the fire at the the Rainbow Villa Mobile Home Park at 11803 SE Division Street, Unit 29 around 3:30 a.m.

— Four people have been left homeless after an early Tuesday morning fire in SE Portland.

A Portland Fire District spokesman says firefighters responded to the fire at the the Rainbow Villa Mobile Home Park at 11803 SE Division Street, Unit 29 around 3:30 a.m.

Firefighters from Station 7 found a single wide mobile home with fire showing from the rear of the structure. Firefighters began fighting the fire after ensuring that the homes occupants were outside and safe.

Firefighters encountered several challenges while fighting this fire including; the down power line, a gas line that was damaged and on fire and the close proximity (within 2 feet) of other homes.

NW Natural and PGE were called to shut down the utilities to the affected unit.

The fire was extinguished and a fire investigator was called to determine the cause of the fire.

The Red Cross has been called to assist 4 residents (2 male and 2 female) with shelter.

No injuries were associated with this fire.

The cause of this fire and damage estimates are not yet available.
