Portland Police Arrest Four Juveniles for Setting Fires in Kenilworth Park

Between July 12 and August 3, firefighters and police responded to 10 fires in the area of Kenilworth Park.

— Arson Investigators from the Portland Police Bureau and Portland Fire and Rescue, have arrested four juveniles in connection with several fires this summer in southeast Portland's Kenilworth Park.

The four male juveniles, ranging in age from 11 to 15 years old, face charges ranging from Arson in the Second Degree to Reckless Burning.

Anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers of Oregon led to the identification of the suspects.

Between July 12 and August 3, firefighters and police responded to 10 fires in the area of Kenilworth Park, located at Southeast 32nd Avenue and Holgate Street.

The fires were small trash fires in the park and, in one case, a burning mattress left near the northwest corner of the park. One fire damaged a fire hydrant.
