MAX trains will run through the station but will not pick up or drop off riders.
(PORTLAND, Ore. ) — Starting Wednesday, the Sunset Transit Center MAX Station will be CLOSED for about 16 days during platform improvements.
MAX trains will run through the station but will not pick up or drop off riders.
If you start or finish your MAX trip at Sunset Transit Center, you can use a frequent shuttle bus to get you between Sunset Transit Center and Washington Park or Beaverton Transit Center where you can transfer to and from trains. Please allow 15-30 minutes extra travel time.
If you start or finish your MAX trip at any other station, you will ride through Sunset Transit Center as you do currently.
Bus service on Lines 20, 48, 50, 59 and 62 will remain the same.
Car and bike parking will also remain open during this time.
Please plan your new trip in advance at trimet.org.
MAX Riders with Bikes:
If you usually board MAX at Sunset Transit Center with a bike, you will need to allow more travel time. While shuttles will be frequent, each bus can only hold two bikes at a time. Please adjust your trip accordingly.
The Sunset Bike & Ride will remain open during this period, providing a safe and secure place to park your bike at Sunset Transit Center.
You can then more easily board a shuttle bus or your normal bus.
