The Oregon House of Representatives on Thursday passed a bill to create an additional sustainable funding mechanism for the Oregon Health Plan by increasing taxes on tobacco products and creating taxes on e-cigarettes and vaping products.

HB 2737 is intended to provide tiny home manufacturers and purchasers with certainty surrounding building codes and regulations, and allow the industry to continue to grow and expand.

Currently, workers in Oregon can face retaliation for sharing their wage and salary rate with their coworkers, or for raising their voice about their right to a fair wage. Today, the Oregon House passed House Bill 2007, aimed at giving Oregon workers a voice to speak up about wage disparities. The bill passed 34-24.
