(September 15, 2014, 5:45 am) SPRINGFIELD, Ore. The teenager asked the suspect, identified as 23-year-old Tamela Trice of Springfield, to let the pair out of the vehicle, but she continued driving.

Police in Springfield, Oregon arrested a woman Saturday afternoon after she stole a SUV with a 17-year-old and 2-year-old sleeping inside.

Salem, Oregon Gas Prices Tick Down; Still Remain Fourth Highest in the Nation
(September 10, 2014, 9:02 pm) SALEM, Ore. The biggest average price drop in Oregon was in the Medford-Ashland market where prices fell 3-cents over the past week.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline continues to drop in Salem and in other parts of Oregon, but the state still has the fourth most expensive gas prices in the country for the second consecutive week.

The University of Oregon’s 2001 football team, which came close to playing for a national championship, and three members of the Ducks’ 2002 men’s basketball team which advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Basketball Tournament, headline five individuals and one team to be inducted as part of the University’s 23rd Athletics Hall-of-Fame class during this weekend’s activities surrounding Saturday’s football game against the University of Wyoming.

Even though kickoffs are scheduled at different times, traffic heading south to Eugene may encounter departure traffic from Corvallis with possible heavy congestion between Albany and Eugene.
