Learning About Oregon Hunting Opportunities
(December 11, 2014, 12:31 pm) SALEM, Ore ODFW hosts introductory waterfowl hunting courses

For the last 15 years or so, ODFW (Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife) has hosted a variety of educational classes on many topics. These include hunting, fishing and other outdoor education subjects, and are usually focused on current seasonal activities. For example, two current courses coming up this month deal with waterfowl hunting. The first will be held this Sunday December 14^th at the Cabela’s located in Tualatin. The course is titled Waterfowl Hunting Clinic 101, and is designed for persons who are wanting to learn about this topic, but may not have access to a friend or relative who can teach them the basics.

ODFW FREE Family Fishing Day Set for Oct. 11 at St. Louis Ponds
(September 25, 2014, 8:00 am) WOODBURN, Ore. ODFW will provide everything people need to go fishing – rods, reels, tackle and bait, on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Family fishing returns to the Willamette Valley on Saturday, Oct. 11 when the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife hosts a free fishing event at St. Louis Ponds near Woodburn from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
