No matter what generation you are from, kids always seem to have boundless energy. Where they direct that energy is the key. The HOME Youth & Resource Center in downtown Salem makes it their mission to provide those positive venues. One such program is called the Drop-In Gladiators.

UPDATE: Subject who died in officer involved shooting identified as Bruce Lee Steward, 34 years old of Colton. At 10:31 this morning a male called 911 from a residence in the 29000 block of S. Wall St. in Colton. The male caller told dispatchers that someone had been stabbed.

Teddy Stivahtis, the suspect in a homicide in Gresham and two bank robberies in the metro area, was taken into custody today by police. The Portland Police Bureau took him into custody without incident after contacting him at the Burlingame Fred Meyer on Barbur Blvd at around 3:45 p.m. today. Gresham Detectives are en route to interviewing him tonight regarding the homicide

Gresham police detectives and the East County Major Crimes Team are attempting to locate Teddy Stivahtis Jr., 36, now considered a suspect in the Oct. 10 stabbing murder of Deanna Stivahtis. Teddy, who is Deanna's nephew, was seen driving Deanna's van away from her residence before her body was discovered.
