Willamette Women's Cross Country Team Moves into Top 10 in National Poll
(October 9, 2014, 6:20 pm) SALEM, Ore. Men's Team is Listed at #4 in West Region

The Willamette University women's cross country team moved up two positions this week to grab the #10 ranking in the NCAA Division III Poll released by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Oct. 8. The women's team remained #1 in the West Region.

Bearcats Welcome George Fox to Open NWC Action
(October 3, 2014, 5:15 am) SALEM, Ore. It's also the first conference game of the season for George Fox, which is competing in football for the first time since 1968.

After two non-conference wins in their first two games, the Willamette University Bearcats are ready to open Northwest Conference action against George Fox University on Friday night at McCulloch Stadium.

Willamette University junior outside hitter Sarah Fincher (Jr., OH, Reno, NV/Bishop Manogue HS/Southwest Baptist Univ.) has been chosen as the Northwest Conference Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week for her efforts for the Bearcats against the University of Puget Sound and George Fox University this past weekend.

Willamette University earned its first Northwest Conference win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Whitworth University (Wash.) Sunday at the Whitworth Soccer Fields.

Second Half Surge Helps Bearcats Rally Past Cal Lutheran
(September 21, 2014, 4:00 am) THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. For the second week in a row, the Bearcats shut out their opponents in the second half.

Willamette University trailed by as many as 10 points in the first half and trailed 24-21 at halftime, but the Bearcats rallied over the final 30 minutes to defeat California Lutheran, 42-24, on Saturday.

Bearcats Claw to 1-0 Double Overtime Win over Whitman
(September 20, 2014, 7:00 pm) WALLA WALLA, Wash. With the win, Willamette improves to 4-3 overall and 1-0 in Northwest Conference games.

After tying a 32-year-old single-game record for goals, Willamette University went just over 117 minutes without scoring a goal before coming through with the game-winner near the end of the second overtime in a 1-0 victory over Whitman College (Wash.) Saturday at the Whitman Athletic Fields.

Taylor Ostrander (Jr., Kenai, AK/Kenai Central HS) of Willamette University won the women's 5-kilometer race at the Oak Knoll Loop Run on Saturday.

Pioneers Blank Bearcats in NWC Opener, 2-0
(September 18, 2014, 4:00 am) PORTLAND, Ore. Willamette will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 20, against Whitman College (Wash.).

In the Northwest Conference opener Wednesday at Griswold Stadium, Willamette University could not overcome a pair of second half goals by Lewis & Clark College falling by the final score of 2-0.


Lindsey Compton earned a season-high 42 assists and also provided eight digs and two block assists.
Linfield Takes NWC Opener vs Willamette in Four Sets
(September 18, 2014, 4:00 am) SALEM, Ore.

Fighting off a strong rally in the fourth set, Linfield held on to knock off Willamette  25-19, 25-17, 23-25, 28-26 Tuesday night inside Cone Field House in the Northwest Conference opener for both clubs.
