Yesterday the McMinnville Fire Department received the report of a large hay truck fire on Hill Road near Peavine.

(October 9, 2014, 11:26 am) AMITY, Ore Investigators with the McMinnville Police Department, with extensive assistance from other law enforcement agencies in Oregon and Washington, determined that reported threats and assaults against a specific family in Amity in July were unfounded.

(October 2, 2014, 7:09 am) AMITY, Ore. The Samuel Robert Winery Historic Restoration project transformed a 1913 building, which had provided for various uses and received several historically inappropriate updates over the century, back to its original structural framework.

The Samuel Robert Winery received an Excellence in Downtown Revitalization Award for the "Best Historic Restoration Project" from Oregon Main Street on Oct. 1 during the Oregon Main Annual Conference in McMinnville.

Health Advisory Issued for Swimming in South Yamhill River
(August 29, 2014, 9:30 am) AMITY, Ore. State and County health officials have not yet found the source of the contamination, and so far no new reports have come in.

Yamhill County Public Health officials are warning people to stay out of the South Yamhill River, after three people got sick after swimming in the river earlier this month.
