Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of 68 lbs of Marijuana, Arrest of Two Washington Men

An Oregon State Police traffic stop early Saturday morning near Medford led to the arrest of two Washington men after the trooper discovered approximately 68 pounds of marijuana in their rented vehicle. The OSP Drug Enforcement Section is continuing the investigation. Last Saturday at approximately 12:53 a.m., an OSP trooper stopped a rented 2014 Hyundai Sonata displaying California license plates

Salem; Oregon Gas Prices Take a Huge Plunge over the Past Week
(September 25, 2014, 8:30 am) SALEM, Ore. The biggest price drop in Oregon occurred in Medford-Ashland where the price fell 9-cents to $3.68.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Salem, and throughout the state of Oregon took one huge plunge over the past week.

Salem, Oregon Gas Prices Tick Down; Still Remain Fourth Highest in the Nation
(September 10, 2014, 9:02 pm) SALEM, Ore. The biggest average price drop in Oregon was in the Medford-Ashland market where prices fell 3-cents over the past week.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline continues to drop in Salem and in other parts of Oregon, but the state still has the fourth most expensive gas prices in the country for the second consecutive week.

Lady Warriors Shutout in Season Opener
(August 30, 2014, 12:00 pm) MEDFORD, Ore. The first half was fairly even between the two sides, with Corban outshooting the Oaks, 5-4.

The Corban University women's soccer team continued its road travels on Friday afternoon as it competed in the SOU Opening GALA, and despite outshooting Menlo College, the Warriors suffered their first loss of the 2014 campaign, 0-1.

Medford Man Arrested After Fleeing Stolen Vehicle on I-5 near Wilsonville
(August 28, 2014, 7:30 pm) WILSONVILLE, Ore. Oregon State Police say the incident began when troopers were notified of a recklessly driven SUV northbound on Interstate 5 near Salem.

Oregon State Police with the assistance of Wilsonville Police Department, arrested a 29-year old male Thursday after the suspect fled a stolen vehicle on foot and was found several minutes later by Wilsonville police.

Salem, Oregon Gas Prices Continue to Fall; Still 3rd Most Expensive U.S. Prices
(August 28, 2014, 7:00 pm) SALEM, Ore. Only drivers in Hawaii and Alaska are paying more at the pump.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in the Salem-Keizer area remained at $3.85 again this week, however for the second week in a row, Oregon has the most expensive gasoline in the 48 contiguous states.
