One year later, Oregon State Police is asking for the public's help to locate the vehicle and driver involved in the death of two men on October 30, 2013, who were reportedly struck by a vehicle on Highway 199 about two miles south of Cave Junction.
The Clackamas County Commissioners have increased the reward offered for information leading to the arrest of Dirck Morgan White, 42, the prime suspect in the murder of Assistant Clackamas County Weighmaster Grady Waxenfelter, who was shot and killed on Feb. 6 while on duty. The reward, which was $16,000, has been increased to $25,000.
An Oregon State Police traffic stop early Saturday morning near Medford led to the arrest of two Washington men after the trooper discovered approximately 68 pounds of marijuana in their rented vehicle. Linn County deputies are investigating the death of a 19-year old man that was struck and killed by a train near Old Salem Road, in Albany. The victim was identified as Luke James Warner, from Brownsville.
Shortly before 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning a fir broke out in a dethatched garage and quickly spread to the home. It was reported that two occupants got out safe, however we can't verify that at this time. Gusty winds quickly fanned the fire to an inferno and spread the flame throughout the property.

The States Organization for Boating Access (SOBA) presented the City of Keizer a Mid-Size Access Award for the new Keizer Rapids Boating Facility on the Willamette River during their annual conference held in Arkansas during the week of October 13.

Teddy Stivahtis, the suspect in a homicide in Gresham and two bank robberies in the metro area, was taken into custody today by police. The Portland Police Bureau took him into custody without incident after contacting him at the Burlingame Fred Meyer on Barbur Blvd at around 3:45 p.m. today. Gresham Detectives are en route to interviewing him tonight regarding the homicide
Oregon State Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of Thursday morning's cross-over fatal traffic crash that occurred on Interstate 5 in the North Albany area. The Northbound lanes are still closed with a detour in place and one southbound lane, using the shoulder, is open for traffic. Detours are causing trafic backups on frontage roads in the area.
