Umatilla County High Speed Persuit Ends in Arrest

An early morning pursuit with Oregon State Troopers in Umatilla County leads to the arrest of two individuals on multiple charges. According to Sergeant Mark Banks, a trooper attempted to stop a vehicle on HWY 11 south of Milton-Freewater for an equipment violation on May 18th at about 12:07AM.

Firefighters Extricate Drivers Involved in Collision

At 9:18pm Friday TVF&R firefighters responded to multiple reports of a vehicle accident on Murray Blvd near Terman Road. On arrival crews found three involved vehicles, two with significant damage.

Hazard Tree Removal to Cause Delays on Highway 18 in Van Duzer State Scenic Corridor

Travelers may experience delays on a 10-mile stretch of Highway 18 in the H.B. Van Duzer State Scenic Corridor while crews remove unhealthy trees. Fatal Head On Crash Near Sheridan

Oregon State Police are investigating a fatal head on crash that occured this afternoon on highway 22W at milepost 6.5, near Red Prairie Road in Polk County. Preliminary information indicates shortly before 4:30 p.m., a green, 1995 Plymouth Neon, was westbound on highway 22W near Red Prairie Road overtaking another vehicle in the oncoming lane.

SUV Hits Woman on Bench Pushes Her Through Window

Earlier this evening a woman was struck by an SUV while she sat on a bench in front of the EZ Laundry in South Salem. The driver remained on the scene, and police tell us that alcohol was not a factor. The woman was transported to Salem Hospital with unknown injuries.


Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Salem

A pedestrian was sturck by a car and killed about 5:30 this evening on Summer Street when he walked into trafic.The name of the deceased is being with held by police pending notification to next of kin. The driver remained on scene.
