Fatal Hit and Run Outside of Corvallis
UPDATE 11/23/2015: Suspect Located
(CORVALLIS, Ore) — UPDATE: The deceased pedestrian has been identified as Shiloh F Ssundstom, age 34, of Deadwood, Oregon.
The driver and vehicle involved in the incident has been located and detectives from the OSP Criminal Investigations Division are on-scene of that driver's residence continuing the investigation.
ORIGINAL STORY: Today at about 10:10AM, OSP Troopers and emergency personnel responded to Highway34 near milepost 1, just east of Corvallis near Groves Lane, on the report of a pedestrian that had been struck by a vehicle.
Upon emergency crews arriving on scene, they located a 34 year old male, deceased on the shoulder of highway.
Troopers say that preliminary information indicates the male was on the south side of Highway 34 when he was struck by a vehicle which fled the scene.
Evidence left on scene indicates the vehicle was possibly a white Suzuki.
It is also possible the suspect vehicle was another make or model.
The victim's name will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.
