— A fire in a row of arborvitae trees in a Keizer manufactured home park Saturday night could have been a lot worse, if firefighters had not been called in time.

When firefighters first arrived on scene at 5154 Nordic Court N, they found a row of 40 foot arborvitae trees near the home were fully engulfed, and crews had to work quickly before the fire, or hot embers spread to nearby homes, trees or plants.

The home sustained minor fire damage, and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
