(NEWBERG, Ore. ) — George Fox University's Luke Hammer recorded a season-high three goals Tuesday night, as the Bruins took down Multnomah University, 9-0.

The Bruins fired off a team season-high 37 shots, which places this game into second in the record books for most shots attempts. The current record is 38 against Point Loma Nazarene on September 5, 2009.
Hammer led the Bruin crew on the night with eight shots, while Joab Logan had six and Miguel Lopez Ixta managed four.
Luke Dickens, Lopez Ixta, Evan Cooney, Sean Owens, Angelo Fotinopoulos, Liam Clancy, Connor Sigmon and Arturo Olazaba all recorded at least one goal on the night. Olazaba was the only other Bruin to get into double-digit goals with two.
Hector Acosta received the start in the net and had a fairly easy night taking on two shots with one on goal. Acosta finished the night with one save.
The win improves the Bruins to 2-2-1 on the season, and they will start conference play this weekend at Pacific Lutheran on September 20 at 2:30 p.m.
