The first period was controlled by the Bulldogs, as they recorded 15 shots with seven on goal. Ally Swanson continued her phenomenal junior season adding seven saves in the first period.
The Bruins held the Bulldogs scoreless in the first half, but that would change in the second after Bulldog' Tanya Haggen found the back of the net in the 55th minute from a cross inside the box.
The Bulldogs tacked on one more goal before the end of regulation to beat the Bruins, 2-0.
Swanson recorded a season high 13 saves on the day, and too on 28 shots with 15 on goal. Meanwhile, nine Bruins recorded at least one shot with Becca Allen leading the group with three.
The Bruins recorded 12 shots on the day.
GFU will start conference play next week when they take on Pacific on the road at noon.
