Stayton Police Department to Work Cross Walk enforcement

Officers will be in the area stopping driver’s who fail to stop for pedestrians trying to cross the street in the cross walks throughout the community

— The Stayton Police Department will be working cross walk enforcement in the city of Stayton on September 8th, between the hours of 11am and 2pm.

Officers will be in the area stopping driver’s who fail to stop for pedestrians trying to cross the street in the cross walks throughout the community. Our intention is to enhance awareness in our area concerning pedestrian safety. Funding for this was made possible by a 2014, Oregon Impact Pedestrian Safety Grant.
