UPDATE: Today, Gustavo Isabel Vega, age 22 years, was arraigned on the charges of Attempted Aggravated Murder, Delivery of Heroin, Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, Reckless Driving, and Resisting Arrest, stemming from an incident on Friday, January 30, 2015. This incident involved an Oregon State Police pursuit, in which the Marion County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation.
One male transported to Salem Emergency Room with stab wounds and deputies searching for suspects with a canine in the 4100 Block of Satter Dr NE, Salem. Marion County Sheriff's Office received multiple calls reporting a male in his 20's had been stabbed at approximately 10:22 PM Tuesday night. Deputies are currently searching for suspects with a canine in the area.
For approximately the last month the Marion County Sheriff's Office and its partners, the Marion County Dog Control, the Oregon Humane Society and the District Attorney's Office have been working complaints brought forth by a neighbor regarding a dog named Brewer. Over this time period, each entity has conducted its own investigation regarding the dog and have determined that no crimes have been committed and the dog is being cared for by standards set forth in the law.
On Monday, at about 9:20 AM, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office located a black 2005 Honda Civic traveling on US Hwy 26 near NW Gumwood, northwest of Madras. The car had been reported as stolen earlier that morning to the Warm Springs Police Department. When the Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle it accelerated, fleeing from the officer. Officers from Warm Springs Police, Madras Police Department, and the Oregon State Police responded to the area to assist in apprehending the fleeing vehicle.
On December 9, 2014, at about11:53 AM, Oregon State Police Troopers from the Springfield Area Command located a tan, 2003 Nissan Altima, southbound on Interstate Five near milepost 186 in Lane County. The car had been reported as stolen to the Salem Police Department in Marion County. When the trooper activated his overhead emergency lights near milepost 185, the vehicle accelerated to speeds near 100 MPH.
UPDATE: On February 26, 2015, Anthony Pena, Pablo Serrano, and juvenile David Hernandez-Fragua were sentenced in Marion County Circuit Court for their involvement in a gang related shooting spree that occurred in Salem on November 25, 2014. Two individuals were shot and injured during the spree. Anthony Pena and David Hernandez-Fragua were also sentenced for two other incidents that occurred on November 28, 2014 and December 6, 2014, respectively.
This morning at around 4:00 a.m., Mr. Russell was getting dressed for work when he heard strange noises outside of his residence. Mr. Russell went outside to see what was going on and saw that again his locked gate had been cut and a purple, Toyota Forerunner was driving out of his driveway. Mr. Russell noticed he was missing another wheel and tire so he went back inside of his house, armed himself with a shotgun, went back outside and waited for the thief to return.
In June, 2014, the Keizer Police Department received a report from a citizen alleging Jarrod Wells, who lives at 1922 Saundra Lee Way NE in Keizer, Oregon, was selling methamphetamine from his home. This complaint was assigned to the Community Response Unit (CRU) and an investigation was begun.
October 29, 2014--Washington County Sheriff's Property Crime Unit Detectives are searching for additional theft victims following the indictment of a Salem woman. There are several victims identified in multiple jurisdictions.
Teddy Stivahtis, the suspect in a homicide in Gresham and two bank robberies in the metro area, was taken into custody today by police. The Portland Police Bureau took him into custody without incident after contacting him at the Burlingame Fred Meyer on Barbur Blvd at around 3:45 p.m. today. Gresham Detectives are en route to interviewing him tonight regarding the homicide
