Oregon State Police are continuing their investigation into Friday morning's truck crash that resulted in the death of a Silverton man on Highway 58 about twenty five miles east of Oakridge.

Medford Driver Slams into Car Stopped While School Bus Unloads Kids

Two people received minor injuries Wednesday afternoon in a collision involving two vehicles and a school bus stopped to unload kids on Highway 238 north of Jacksonville.

(September 2, 2014, 12:50 pm) SALEM, Ore. This year's six recorded deaths is the deadliest Labor Day holiday period since 2008 when 12 people died in Oregon traffic crashes.

Preliminary information reported to ODOT's Fatality Analysis Reporting System indicates 6 people died in five separate traffic crashes in Oregon during the 78-hour 2014 Labor Day holiday period between 6:00 p.m., August 29, and 11:59 p.m., September 1.

(September 2, 2014, 5:07 am) SALEM, Ore. School safety is everyone's responsibility. Parents are encouraged to talk with their kids, reinforcing pedestrian safety rules.

Throughout the summer months Marion County Public Works has been working feverishly to upgrade several school zones with new signs and in some areas install flashing lights signaling the school zone.

Beginning Tuesday, you can expect to see Marion County Sheriff Office Deputies in several of these school zones. In addition to school zones, drivers are also reminded to watch for school buses flashing their lights to indicate they are stopping to load or unload students.

Woman Killed in Single Vehicle Crash on Ore. Highway 34
(September 1, 2014, 5:32 pm) LEBANON, Ore. Emergency responders arrived on scene and confirmed 27-year-old Bethany Wilson from Lebanon, was deceased.

 Oregon State Police are continuing their investigation into an early Monday morning single vehicle fatal traffic crash along Highway 34 near Denny School Road west of Lebanon.
