(September 5, 2014, 9:02 pm) FORT COLLINS, Colo. The Vikings (2-1-2) had totaled just three goals through their first four matches of the season, but doubled that total with their performance against the Rams.

The Portland State women's soccer team's offense broke out of its early season scoring funk against Colorado State Friday, as freshman defender Maddie Prehoda, senior defender Kayla Henningsen and junior midfielder Emma Cooney all scored to lead the Vikings to a 3-0 road win over the Rams at The Lagoon on the CSU campus.

Freshman Leads Oregon State to Fourth Place Finish
(September 5, 2014, 9:01 pm) EUGENE, Ore. The Beavers are now idle until the Oct. 4 Washington Invitational at the Jefferson Park Golf Course in Seattle, hosted by the Huskies.

Freshman Sam McKinnon placed 16th in her first college race to lead the Oregon State women’s cross country team to fourth place at the five-team Dellinger Invitational on Friday.

The Oregon volleyball team kept its undefeated record intact, Thursday with a 3-1 win against St. John’s 25-18, 20-25, 25-14, 25-18 at the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic.

By the end of this past Saturday evening, 10 true freshmen had played in No. 3 Oregon’s season-opening victory over South Dakota.

Corban Falls to Whitman College, 2-1

The Corban University men's soccer team traveled to play Whitman College on Thursday evening, and despite outshooting the Missionaries, 17-6, the Warriors suffered their first defeat of the 2014 campaign, 1-2.

Lady Warriors Draw with DII Saint Martin's University
(September 5, 2014, 6:02 am) LACEY, Wash. Corban (3-1-1) returns to action on Sunday, September 7, when it travels to Forest Grove, Ore., for a non-conference match with the Pacific University Boxers.

Playing in its fifth road contest of its eight-game road swing to begin the 2014 campaign, the Corban University women's soccer team tied NCAA Division II opponent, Saint Martin's University, on Thursday afternoon, 1-1.

Western Oregon Falls in Season Opener
(September 5, 2014, 6:00 am) SEATTLE, Wash. Western Oregon faces Cal Poly Pomona Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the sixth match of the tournament.

The Western Oregon University volleyball team opened its 2014 schedule with a four-set loss to Cal State-Los Angeles Thursday, 25-19, 26-28, 19-25, 18-25, in the opening match of the First Serve tournament hosted by Seattle Pacific University.

Pac-12 Football: Arizona Slips Past UTSA, 26-23
(September 5, 2014, 6:00 am) SAN ANTONIO, Texas The Wildcats return to action next Saturday when they welcomes Nevada to Arizona Stadium

Casey Skowron kicked four field goals and Nick Wilson picked up 174 yards on the ground, leading Arizona to a 26-23 victory over UTSA on Thursday night in the Alamodome in San Antonio.
