Murder and Bank Robbery Suspect Teddy Stivahtis Arrested
(October 23, 2014, 7:42 pm) PORTLAND, Ore FBI Offered up to a $10,000 Reward in Bank Robberies

Teddy Stivahtis, the suspect in a homicide in Gresham and two bank robberies in the metro area, was taken into custody today by police. The Portland Police Bureau took him into custody without incident after contacting him at the Burlingame Fred Meyer on Barbur Blvd at around 3:45 p.m. today. Gresham Detectives are en route to interviewing him tonight regarding the homicide

FBI Offers up to a $10,000 Reward in Bank Robbery

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Teddy Stivahtis, Jr., charged in the October 13, 2014, robbery of a Chase Bank in Canby. Agents have charged Stivahtis, via criminal complaint, with one federal count of bank robbery.

UPDATE: Welfare Check Turns to Homicide Investigation

Gresham police detectives and the East County Major Crimes Team are attempting to locate Teddy Stivahtis Jr., 36, now considered a suspect in the Oct. 10 stabbing murder of Deanna Stivahtis.  Teddy, who is Deanna's nephew, was seen driving Deanna's van away from her residence before her body was discovered. 


Welfare Check Turns to Homicide Investigation
(October 12, 2014, 7:03 pm) GRESHAM, Ore Shortly after Noon Saturday, Oct. 11 2014, concerned relatives stopped by 70 year-old Deanna L Strivahtis' home in the 2900 block of N.E. Division Street in Gresham. What they found caused them to call Gresham Police. Upon arrival Officers and Emergency Medical personnel determined she was deceased.

Police in Gresham Need Help Locating Missing 88-Year-Old Man

The Gresham Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 88-year-old man who suffers from mild dementia.


Detectives are interviewing witnesses and the victim in order to determine what led up to this incid

Gresham Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon, that sent a Portland, Oregon man to the hospital.
