The FBI and Marion County Sheriff’s Office are asking the public’s help to identify a bank robber. The robbery occurred Thursday evening just after 5pm. The target of the robbery was a Wells Fargo inside the Safeway in the 3300 block of Lancaster.

A statewide ban on open fires in state park campgrounds has been lifted effective August 22, 2017. However, local and regional fire restrictions are still in effect in many state parks, and restrictions from other authorities often apply to state parks as well. Campfires are allowed in designated fire rings only. All fires must be attended, and fully extinguished afterward.

ODFW Free Pheasant Hunts for Youth in September

ODFW is holding free pheasant hunts for youth hunters under age 17.

ODFW and partners stock pheasants at these special hunts that give youth a head start on regular pheasant seasons, which don’t begin until October. Quail and dove can also be hunted.
