Salem, Oregon Gas Prices Tick Down; Still Remain Fourth Highest in the Nation
(September 10, 2014, 9:02 pm) SALEM, Ore. The biggest average price drop in Oregon was in the Medford-Ashland market where prices fell 3-cents over the past week.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline continues to drop in Salem and in other parts of Oregon, but the state still has the fourth most expensive gas prices in the country for the second consecutive week.

(September 10, 2014, 5:29 am) SALEM, Ore. WOU, which competes in NCAA Division II, improved to 1-3 on the season. Willamette, which plays in NCAA Division III, fell to 5-4.

Only Rest Area Between Salem and Sisters to Close for Repairs
(September 9, 2014, 5:00 pm) SALEM, Ore. The closure of the rest area will start at 7:00 a.m. and re-open during the evening on Friday, September 19.

The Maples Rest Area located just east of Gates on Oregon Highway 22 will be closed starting on Wednesday through September 19 in order for the region Department of Transportation to complete maintenance projects.

After scoring in just the second minute of the contest and putting in the game-winner in the 53rd minute, Willamette University earned their first win of the season, defeating The Evergreen State College, 2-1.
