One Man Dead After Alcohol Involved Crash

Investigators determined that speed and alcohol are likely contributing factors in this crash

— Sheriff's Deputies responded to a crash where a vehicle left the roadway and rolled and killed the driver.

The vehicle was occupied by the driver and one passenger.

Early this morning Washington County Sheriff's Deputies were called to SW Farmington Road west of SW Riggs Road in the community of Aloha concerning a single vehicle crash.

Several deputies arrived and discovered a 1991 Honda Civic in a field north of SW Farmington Road.

Deputies determined that the Honda had been westbound on SW Farmington Road when it crashed.

The Honda left the roadway, struck a dirt embankment and went airborne before rolling over and eventually coming to rest on its wheels.

Sheriff's Deputies found that Joseph Franklin Anderson, 34, from Hillsboro was the driver and Laura Jean Depee, 24, from Estacada was the passenger.

Joseph Anderson did not survive the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Laura Depee was transported to OHSU with minor injuries.

Farmington Road was partially closed for about three hours to gather evidence and document the scene.
