Road Worker Struck by Vehicle

(AMITY, Ore) — Oregon State Police is telling us that tonight a vehicle struck a pedestrian on Highway 99W near milepost 47 (just south of Amity).

Preliminary information indicates a highway work zone flagger was struck while flagging traffic.

OSP Troopers are currently on scene.

The flagger, an adult male, was taken to a Portland area hospital with serious injuries.

Highway 99W will be closed for an extended period of time while the investigation is conducted.
