— The Portland Police Bureau Sex Crimes Unit is asking for the public's help in identifying any additional victims that may have had contact with 39-year-old Joseph William Wehage.

Wehage was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on Wednesday, after being extradited from Tennessee after being indicted for multiple felony sex crimes.

Detectives began an investigation back in August, after learning that Wehage sexually abused a young teen boy when the boy would babysit for the Wehage family in Southwest Portland.

Wehage attended a Southwest Portland area church, and may have had access to additional victims who were used as babysitters for the Wehage family.

Wehage was charged with 11 felony charges including seven counts of Sodomy in the First Degree, two counts of Attempted Sodomy in the Second Degree, and one count each of Attempted Sodomy in the First Degree and Sodomy in the Second Degree.

Anyone with additional information about Wehage, or additional victims, is urged to contact Detective Jason Christensen at (503) 823-0894, jchristensen@portlandoregon.gov
