Portland Fire & Rescue Responds to Early Morning House Fire

One occupant stated that it was the crackling of the fire that woke him up initially.

Portland Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a report of a house on fire this morning at 9119 Southeast Lincoln St.

All occupants are out of the structure Ok.

PF&R Fire Investigators have determined the cause of the fire to be electrical in nature and originated in the porch light.

The fire then extended to the interior on the second floor.

Damage is estimated at $120,000 total loss. ($100,000 structural and $20,000 contents.)

Three occupants have been displaced by this fire and are staying with friends/family.

One occupant stated that it was the crackling of the fire that woke him up initially.

The smoke detectors were operating properly as well.
